11th Graders Practice Non-Academic Skills
As the 11th grade Student Volunteers prepare for 12th grade and eventually University, they will also learn and practice important non-academic skills.
All former student volunteers now attending University and living in the JGG dormitories in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap also work part-time (and some even full-time) to support themselves and their families while they study.
This week, I had the students simulate a job interview for an accounting assistant position. We also discussed the importance of body language during the interview process (posture, eye contact). After switching back and forth between interviewer and applicant, the students assured me that they would all hire each other!
